Dear Parents
Here is our ‘This Week at Colleges We Are’ for your information.
Nursery –
We will be making pancakes on Wednesday. Children in Nursery are becoming storytellers this week, telling lots of traditional tales
Daisy –
We will be exploring daffodils and creating a large scale canvas with glue. Our focus book will continue to be “Oh Dear” by Rod Campbell.
World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th March by asking the children to have a dressing up day. Please join in and come dressed as your favourite story characters. We would also love to have parents and grandparents come in and read books to small groups of children, please speak to your keyworker if you are able to help.
Spring Fayre
Our Fayre is approaching and will take place on Saturday 23rd March between 10.00 -12.00. Sign-up sheets to help on the day and for Easter hampers are up in the cloakroom. We are now collecting eggs for our egg tombola, all chocolate eggs/Easter eggs/mini eggs/ greatly appreciated.
Cambridge Literacy Festival
A selection of children’s authors this April including the hilarious Andy Stanton, Francesca Simon and the latest Horrid Henry instalment, Elmer the patchwork elephant will be celebrating his 30th birthday and Robin Stevens author of the Murder Most Unladylike series talks about her detective duo Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong. A copy of children’s programme is available from the office for your information.
Forest Explorers
Dates have been confirmed for the outings and further information will follow shortly.
Socks
We are extremely low on spare socks for the children, please ensure you have socks in your child’s bag. We would appreciate any donations of socks or wellies.
